Welcome to the website for the Jefferson and Dodge County and surrounding area bird walks! Here you can find information on the walks we hold including when they will be held, where to meet us for the walks, and any last minute information about the walks.

With September behind us, we've completed our schedule of walks for 2009. We had a lot of fun, saw many interesting birds and met many interesting birders. We hope to see a number of familiar faces in 2010 when we launch the next season of bird walks. We also hope to see a number of new faces, as we're always pleased to have birders join us and, we hope, become regulars on our walks.

You can read about the walks we've completed by using the link to walks already held, below on this page.

It's not too soon to consider walk sites for next year. If you have some particular location you think we should be looking at, use the link to Webmaster to tell us about it. We'll be happy to consider your suggestions.

As we schedule walk sites, we update this website with the information. You can join our mailing list and be notified of all upcoming walks as soon as they are planned. We will not give out any information you provide and only use the list to keep people informed about the walks. Click on "Contacts" below to join.

We hold our walks on the third weekend of every month, April through September. We may also hold additional walks from time to time when appropriate. All walks are open to the public, and are free. All ages and experience levels are welcome. Bring binoculars if you have them, and wear comfortable walking shoes.

Our walks will be led by experienced birders. Leaders include Nolan Kollath, lifelong birder and former instructor at Madison Area Technical College, Watertown; and Brad and Royan Webb, members of the Horicon Marsh Bird Club and participants in the Horicon Marsh Bird Festival. We always have a lot of fun with good birds, good company and pleasant walks. We'd be happy to have you join us for more of the same.
