Welcome to the website for the Jefferson and Dodge County and surrounding area bird walks! Here you can find information on the walks we hold including when they will be held, where to meet us for the walks, and any last minute information about the walks.

We hold our walks on the third weekend of every month, April through September. We post the location and actual date (Saturday or Sunday) just before the walk so we can be as certain as possible we go where the birds are. We may also hold additional walks from time to time when appropriate. All walks are open to the public, and are free. All ages and experience levels are welcome. Bring binoculars if you have them, and wear comfortable walking shoes.

Use the link to Upcoming Walks, below to find information on the next walk. It will be available on this website shortly before the walk will be held.

You can read about the walks we complete as we move through the season by using the link to walks already held, below on this page.

If you have some particular location you think we should be considering as we work our way through the 2012 schedule, use the link to Webmaster to tell us about it. We'll be happy to consider your suggestions.

You can join our mailing list and be notified of all upcoming walks as soon as they are planned. We will not give out any information you provide and only use the list to keep people informed about the walks. Click on "Contacts" below to join.

Our walks will be led by experienced birders. Leaders include Nolan Kollath, lifelong birder and former instructor at Madison Area Technical College, Watertown; Karen Etter Hale of the Madison Audubon Society and Brad and Royan Webb, members of the Horicon Marsh Bird Club and participants in the Horicon Marsh Bird Festival. We always have a lot of fun with good birds, good company and pleasant walks. We'd be happy to have you join us for more of the same.
