(Photo of Tree Swallow ...) September Bird Walk - Zeloski Marsh


We combined our last walk of the season with one by the Madison Audubon Society, with which we are affiliated. We have done this in previous years and it has proven a good policy. As a result we had a number of walkers enjoying a beautiful day at Zeloski marsh. We saw many of the birds one would expect to see at this time of year. The number of Red-winged Blackbirds and Tree Swallows were amazing! A complete list of the birds, along with some notes taken by Karen Etter Hale, is below.
