September Walk

(Photo of birders on our walk ...) September Bird Walk - Glacial Drumlin Trail

Several birders joined us for our last planned walk of the season on September 20th, as we headed out on the Glacial Drumlin Trail near Lake Mills. The weather was beautiful, the walk pleasant and the birds cooperated. We spent a few enjoyable hours seeing what the trail had to offer this time of the year. It was a bit early for warblers, though we came across several vireos. The warblers weren't entirely absent. A list compiled from the notes of participants follows.

This was our last planned walk for the year. We had a lot of fun and certainly enjoyed the company of those who joined us. We plan a full set of walks again next year. We hope those who joined us this year will seek us out again, and those who couldn't make it this year will be able to walk with us next time around.
