(Photo of Black Tern ...) May Bird Walk - Glacial Drumlin Trail

About 23 intrepid birders - and a reporter from Madison's Channel 3 newsteam - gathered at Korth Park for a walk on the trail to Rock Lake. It was a fine day for a birdwalk and the birds did not disappoint! The highlight was a roosting Common Nighthawk, easy to see in great light! This being an extremely rare sighting, we spent some time watching the bird. We also had a couple of Tree Swallows peering at us from their nesting cavities. Warblers were at a premium but we found several. A complete list is below.

If you were unable to join us, you missed some exciting treats. We hope you can join us for future walks.
