(Photo of Merganser family ...) June Bird Walk - EAST Side Rose Lake at Dorothy Carnes Park

An enthusiastic group gathered for our June walk on a perfect day at Dorothy Carnes Park to bird the newer eastern side. We had wonderful views of a diverse lot of birds. Highlights were extended viewing sessions of the mostly white Red Tailed Hawk who's patroled this park for several years. We were also treated to long and easily heard calls from a beautiful Common Moorhen. Swallows abounded, as did Great Blue Herons. It was a great session! If you couldn't be with us, we hope you can join us for our next walk. Check back at this website as we finalize our plans for the next outing.
