April Walk

(Photo of Tree Swallow ...) April Bird Walk - Rose Lake at Dorothy Carnes Park

On a chilly and blustery day, our intrepid group of birders mostly took shelter at the overlook on Rose Lake. We had great views of waterfowl on the lake and songbirds in the woods around us. We were able to see many migrants as well as a number of resident species. We're considering a return visit to the park later in the season to view the lake from the east, and to see which birds are using the newly added territory on that side of the lake.

If you couldn't be with us for this walk, we hope you can join us for one of the others in this series.
